A new class is added:
  赵长军 成人初级武术太极拳 2:00pm - 2:50pm.
A new WuShu beginner Class (TaiJi) for Adult in TaiJi Quan 太极拳.
(赵长军 成人太极拳功夫扇 3:00pm - 3:50pm 照旧,已满)

A class is changed its name:
 创意美工 changed to 绘画美工 4:00pm - 4:50pm.
This class combines drawing and crafts  to give younger students at age 5 and up, an introduction to art .

         English writing for adults from September, 2008
A college-level course for adults who are fluent or nearly fluent in English and wish to improve their writing

The class will focus on essay writing, advanced grammar and vocabulary with the goal of improving the student's ability to communicate through the written word.  The course is only for adults and is offered only during the fall semester, from 4 pm to 5 pm.

To Parents and Students:

Thank you so much for your donation to the Earthquake Relief Fund. Your generous show of support for victims of the disaster in China has made our fundraising event a huge success! As of today, we raised a total of $21859.50.

We thank you for your heartfelt concern for the people who have suffered in this natural disaster, and for acting so quickly to do something about it. Your kind-hearted generosity has touched us deeply. The earthquake may destroy homes, but it will never destroy the spirit of the people. Your love, care and support will make them strong, help them overcome grief and rebuild their homes and schools.

Cherry Hill Huaxia Chinese School will send all the proceeds from our fundraising for the earthquake relief to those in most need. The fund will be designated exclusively to earthquake relief effort.

This event was organized within a short time but with a great success. Special thanks go to Zhang Sanqi, Sun Maosen and Lang Yan for their efforts to make this happen.

Hua Xia Chinese School at Cherry Hill online registration is available for parents and students to register classes for 2008-09 School Year.

Please register Online right now (before you come to the school on Saturday 6/7/08) and pay at school on Saturday 6/7/08 !
(Attention: No school on this Saturday 5/31/08 )

Steps to register online at www.hxch.org :

1). Visit our school's web at www.hxch.org , click "Online Registrationi" icon on the right top of page.

2). Log in the registration system and register classes. When you finish, print out that registration page with total amount due.

3). Take that registration page and check with you and come into the office to pay the balance on Saturday (6/7/08).

                                       New Tuition
Dear parents:
The school board approved the new tuition charge. After 5 years of charging the same fee for its classes, Cherry Hill Huaxia Chinese School will raise its tuition starting in the fall of 2008.  The increase will help cover increased expenses, recruit and retain qualified teachers, and allow us to expand our courses and activities.  We are pleased to note that our fees remain among the lowest of the other Huaxia Schools. 

The specifics of next year’s tuition are as follows:

    Dear Students and Parents:
      Last Saturday (5/17) we have received a donation of $12,965 from our parents, students, teachers and friends. I would like to show my respect for all those who have made contributions to the donation.   四川成都地震赈灾捐款  Donation for SiChuan Earthquake Victims

Dear parents, teachers and students:

       On May 12, massive earthquake hit Sichun, China. As of today, death toll is already over 14,000. Many people are still buried in rubbles. Millions of lives are affected.

       To express our care for the people who suffered in this unexpected disaster, Cherry Hill Huaxia Chinese School is collecting donations from all willing students and families this Saturday. Donation is entirely voluntary. Here is how you make your donation:

       Teachers of each individual Chinese class collect the donations from their students. As for parents, we will have a donation box in the lobby for you. You can donate either in cash or in check. Please make your check payable to “Cherry Hill Huaxia Chinese School”.

All donations are tax deductible. Please go to Mr. Sun Maosen, an assistant principal to get your receipt. As the school gets all the donations, we will make a check to the Headguarter of Huaxia. The Headquarter then sends the check to the Red Cross in China together with those from other branches.
